Out of Office

Summer is finally here and the minds of many turn towards holidays. I say holidays, not annual leave, it’s a holiday. A well earned break from the routine of everyday life.

If you are like me though you have perhaps upon your return to work thought, was it really worth it? The rush to complete jobs before you finally turn on the out of office message and the heart sinking moment when you turn on the computer again on your return and see the email inbox fill up. That’s always making an assumption you’ve not checked your email or jumped on a work zoom call whilst lying on the beach interrupting your break or family time.

As tempting as it might be, please don’t do it.  Time to recharge your well-being batteries is important as is giving undivided attention to family and friends.

Just consider that saying - are you living to work or working to live.  The choice is yours!
