Work in progress.

Todays blog post it aimed at provoking thought, reflection and compassion for yourself and others by posing a series of questions.

Why do so many intelligent people find it so difficult to switch off yet know the long term consequences of not doing so?

How can you work at peak performance, continue to deliver results, support colleagues etc if you don’t take care of yourself?

When role modelling good behaviours is universally accepted as a beneficial thing to do, what example do you set to colleagues when you join zoom calls from your family holiday?

Setting colleagues aside what example does it set to your friends and family especially your children (if you have them) ?

How does joining work meetings whilst on holiday demonstrate trust and confidence in the ability of your colleagues?

When you send that email out of hours with the standard , I don’t expect you to reply message , why not just delay delivery until normal working hours?

Why do you schedule meetings over lunch breaks yet talk about well-being?

So…..

I’m sure you have lots of thoughts about these questions. I’d be interested to hear them .

The most important thing, be kind to yourself.

Whatever age we are, we are all work in progress but let’s continue to learn and adapt, so that tomorrow is better than today.
