What if …..

Reframing conversations to start the week.

The human brain luckily has an inbuilt tendency to avoid risk. In many situations this essential to allow us to survive. It can however at times be over cautious and can lead to us overthinking situations, avoiding challenges and limiting our own potential and that over others.

Im going to start by reframing the "What if....." that is an integral part of our automatic self talk.

What if I fail at this task vs What if I succeed ?

What if I make this change and I regret it vs What if I make this change and never look back?

What if this idea / product / resource isn't perfect vs What if it makes a positive significant difference?

What if they really dislike me vs What we really gel ?

Set yourself a challenge this week to look for the What if's that turn up uninvited into conversations and use them as an opportunity to refrain that conversation.
